I had so much fun trying out different poses and props with this baby girl. I have to say that she was the easiest baby to pose that I have EVER had! I think it speaks volumes of her personality that’s budding. Which doesn’t surprise me at all since her mommy and daddy are pretty laid back too. :)

A family friend MADE this cradle as a gift for them. I was almost jumping up and down with delight at the sight of it when I entered their home. I wished I could have taken it home with me! So you know I couldn’t resist putting the baby in it…

As a nurse, I have the opportunity to meet lots of different people, hear their stories, even witness and guide them as they birth their children into this world. Mommy worked very hard to bring this little man into this world. VERY hard. We had met before, outside of work. So when I got to be her labor nurse, I was so happy to meet her again! I love meeting such wonderful people. And this entire family was no exception. :) Hope you guys like these!

Here’s big sister, Ava. 19 months is a difficult age to photograph in studio, so needless to say, this was the only image I managed to capture of her. Isn’t she adorable? :) By the way, see the knotted top this chic is wearing? Her mommy made it! You can see more of her stuff online at http://www.graciousmeboutique.etsy.com She makes just about everything!

This family holds a special place in my heart. I am in awe of their emotional strength and faith in God. This is a pregnancy that is special to them. Each and every day is savored while at the same time, anxiously awaiting the birth of their baby, Hogan, so that they can hold him and kiss him until the end of time. You can read about Hogan and his family’s story on their blog at: http://hogandominy.blogspot.com

I’m praying for you. And I’m looking forward to witnessing his birth into this world.

IMG_9764bwwebI had so much with this session. These two people are going to be GREAT first-time parents, I just know it. And I can’t wait to meet lil miss Riley Grace! Stay tuned for part 2! I’ll be doing their newborn session in a few weeks too! Yea! You look beautiful and radiant, Wendy. Enjoy the last few days of your pregnancy. Soon you;ll be missing those little kicks and jabs. :)

Little miss Lana isn’t a newborn. Oh no–she’s 3 months old but she let me pose her like she was brand new, for almost half of her session! I haven’t even gone through all the shots we got. I can say that we got more variety than any session I’ve ever done. All because miss Lana was so good for us. Thanks, Laura & Erik, for letting me document her time as a 3 month old sweet sack of sugar!

This is Lana with her big brother, Sawyer. How precious!

This sweet baby girl fought sleep for awhile with a tummy ache but in the end, a little Mylicon and some TLC from her sweet mommy did her in. Thanks, Amber, for letting me hang out with you guys today. She is simply precious. Motherhood suits you perfectly. :) Here’s a sneak peek at what we did! Hope you like them…

Oh what a sweet blessing to have two beautiful identical twins! At 8 weeks old, Emmett & Frazier are big boys! They haven’t had their 2 month checkup yet, but I say they could easily pass for 12 or 13 pounds EACH! It’s not a bad thing–especially when these sweet boys can throw down on some good ol’ breastmilk, ha! Congratulations, mom & dad! Thank you so much for allowing me into your home to capture this adorable time in your boys’ lives. :)

I was there for his birth. I took his newborn pictures. Then at 3 months, I was given the chance to photograph him again. And now at 6 months, he’s sitting and on the verge of crawling and taking off any second! Gosh, I just love watching the babies grow and see the changes as the miracle of life continues on. Baby Fletcher looked like a clone of his brother Eli, but is now growing into his own look. A look, I think, is looking more like his mommy! I love this baby. :)

At less than one week old, Kylie is just precious! She loved the white picket basket. I was certain she would fuss a bit once I put her in there, but she just sat that there, not moving, and just looking around before drowsing off to sleep. Ha! Photographers just loooove some sleepy newborns and she was definitely one of them!
