Hope, a nurse on L&D where I work, is a sweet woman who brought her sweet baby boy into this world yesterday. He insisted on hanging out in her tummy, completely comfy and content sitting indian style and refused to turn head down. So, alas, he was born via c-section. Which was so beautiful and fast and uneventful (a good thing!). He was born with arms wiiiiide open and one eye open, gleaming at this bright new world. Congratulations, Hope and Jamie. He’s absolutely beautiful. LOTS more pics to go through, but could only get these out right away. Thanks for letting me capture this important time in your lives! (And I’m hoping you’ll hang out with us on L&D on Christmas day too–so we can play some more! ;) )

I have to share little bit of Elijah’s story. He has come into this world from two parents who love him so very much. Every day of the pregnancy was nerve-racking. Worried that something would happen. Just as it did with his big brother Caleb, who now resides with our Lord in heaven. Caleb was born still at 37 weeks and is very much celebrated till this day. But thankfully, Elijah grew wonderfully inside his mother’s womb and was born very much alive into this world. He is such a sweet little boy. He slept the entire time I was there in their home. That’s why I’m sharing such a HUGE variety of images I was able to get. And these aren’t even ALL the poses we got!  But without further ado, I feel so privileged to to be able to share these. Congratulations, Miranda and Josh. Thank you for allowing me into your home and hearts to get these precious, intimate photographs of your son. :)

elijah. {one day old.}

December 5, 2009

This baby boy is so special. His family holds a special place in my heart and has gone through such an emotional journey. I love them to pieces. I volunteered to photograph her birth, but, unfortunately, timing just wasn’t on our side. But the next day, I finally got to meet Mr. Elijah and feel the relief and joy and emotional sigh in the weight of his warm, squishy tiny body and the little coos and whimpers he makes. Congratulations. I’ll see you soon for more newborn pictures!

A friend or family member of theirs brought them this fuzzy blanket as a gift. So of course I had to open it, spread it out and put him on it!

miss carlie. {3 years old}

December 2, 2009

What an ABSOLUTE doll! No really–she looks like a porcelain doll! With a sort of old fashioned, Victorian beauty, miss Carlie is simply beautiful. She started out a little shy but you could tell she liked being in front of the camera. Especially when we got her into one of my pettiskirts. Boy, did she like that! Carlie’s mommy and I work together on L&D over at St. Mary’s. I’m loving these, Holly! I hope you do too. :)

Chloe. {my newest baby}

December 2, 2009

Meet Chloe, our newest addition to the family. She’s 9 nine weeks old and we’ve had her about 2 weeks. I feel terrible that I haven’t been able to take pictures of her before now. I went ahead snapped a few while setting up for a session. She’s little ham already. I sat her down and it was as if she was posing on purpose. Ashlyn just adores her. Well, we all do–even though Jade won’t ever admit it. I think she’s growing on him. :)
