Oh my goodness. If this woman had told me she was a model, I would have TOTALLY believed her! Her cute pregnant body is just so perfect! We started our session inside, and then made our way outside to the horse stable. If my daughter had seen her horses, the stable, the barn–she would have been in horse heaven. (Ashlyn’s crazy about horses, if you didn’t know already!) But to see Leigh out there with her horse, talking to him, made her even more beautiful. And now I can’t WAIT to meet this little guy! Stay tuned in the coming months to see his newborn session~:)

I’m feeling so blessed to be able to photograph such laid back, easy-going babies lately! Miss Riley was definitely one who slept and slept and ate and slept some more. And even graced us with a small moment of quiet, alertness to show off her gorgeous eyes. I did her mommy’s maternity session last month. You can see the sneak peek here.

It was only a matter of time that Kara would let me do a maternity session for her. Kara’s also a nurse at St. Mary’s–on labor & delivery. So if you’re reading this post and you’re planning on expecting your little bundle with us, you may have her as your nurse! :) I can NOT wait for this little guy to get here! He is going to be SO CUTE! And Kara: you are so beautiful. And you’re going to be a wonderful mom. :)

So the mother of these 3 beautiful kids used to work labor & delivery with me but found other opportunities somewhere else. We still managed to get together so that I could photograph her and her children. I could tell in the first few moments with all of them that they were very close and very happy. I’m glad you let me do this for you, Latosha! Hope you like them as much as I do! :)

I had so much fun trying out different poses and props with this baby girl. I have to say that she was the easiest baby to pose that I have EVER had! I think it speaks volumes of her personality that’s budding. Which doesn’t surprise me at all since her mommy and daddy are pretty laid back too. :)

A family friend MADE this cradle as a gift for them. I was almost jumping up and down with delight at the sight of it when I entered their home. I wished I could have taken it home with me! So you know I couldn’t resist putting the baby in it…

As a nurse, I have the opportunity to meet lots of different people, hear their stories, even witness and guide them as they birth their children into this world. Mommy worked very hard to bring this little man into this world. VERY hard. We had met before, outside of work. So when I got to be her labor nurse, I was so happy to meet her again! I love meeting such wonderful people. And this entire family was no exception. :) Hope you guys like these!

Here’s big sister, Ava. 19 months is a difficult age to photograph in studio, so needless to say, this was the only image I managed to capture of her. Isn’t she adorable? :) By the way, see the knotted top this chic is wearing? Her mommy made it! You can see more of her stuff online at http://www.graciousmeboutique.etsy.com She makes just about everything!

This family holds a special place in my heart. I am in awe of their emotional strength and faith in God. This is a pregnancy that is special to them. Each and every day is savored while at the same time, anxiously awaiting the birth of their baby, Hogan, so that they can hold him and kiss him until the end of time. You can read about Hogan and his family’s story on their blog at: http://hogandominy.blogspot.com

I’m praying for you. And I’m looking forward to witnessing his birth into this world.
